4 WEEK DEEP RELAXATION COURSE
IN A WORLD OF STRESS AND ANXIETY, THE ROLE OF DEEP RELAXATION IS AN IMPORTANT ONE.
Our course provides you with the knowledge and techniques you need to experience a sense of deep relaxation to gain clarity and insight through the ancient art of yogic sleep.
You will be introduced to a meditation system for total mind and body relaxation. This course was created to establish an understanding and experience towards the deepest level of quiet, peace, and tranquillity: a place of no thought.
Our courses are led by experienced teachers, who teach yoga and relaxation to beginners and beyond.
What You'll Learn
Through the four sessions, you will learn:
How to prepare your space and your body for a yoga nidra practice.
How to transcend the chatter of the thinking "monkey mind" with guidance.
How to tune into your subconscious and access insightful space between sleeping and waking.
How to free-write to expand on the inspiration and clarity you'll gain through the practice.
Through the techniques that lead to the restful state of consciousness in a practice called Yoga Nidra, our minds and bodies can begin to experience a sense of deep rest and repair body and mind.

What is Yoga Nidra?
A deeply restful guided meditation reaching a conscious state between wakefulness and sleep. It is translated as 'yogic
sleep' and it is practiced lying down using blankets and bolsters to support the body's comfort levels.
Nidra practices support the 'high-alerted' part of the autonomic nervous system that is designed to help your body manage stressful or emergency situations by activating your fight-or-flight response, resulting in an accelerated heart rate, dilated pupils, sweaty palms, and slowed digestion.
Many of us experience chronic amounts of “fight or flight” mode – a high alert and reactive state. Our moments in natural and restful are far fewer. Meanwhile our minds and bodies need that deep rest to recover, restore, and repair.
Practices like meditation and yoga nidra can help calm your nervous system and bring it back it to a restful state which works to conserve and restore energy.
Our featured topics are as follows:
Week 1: BODY: this session focuses on becoming aware of all parts of the physical body. Known as “systematic relaxation,” this practice allows you to create a new relationship with your physical body and begin a nervous system response towards calm.
Week 2: ENERGY: this session involves cultivating sensitivity towards the energetic body, with the aim of creating a sense of revitalisation and rejuvenation.
Week 3: MIND: this session teaches us to witness our impressions as an observer without attachment, judgment, or analysis, and to relax the mind.
Week 4: INTUITION: Move beyond the mind and connect with wisdom and a deep sense of trust in knowing what you know. The final practice is supported by the previous lessons of practice, guiding you to rest deep in spaciousness.
Enjoy, at last, this place of quiet and stillness.
